The GATEWAY PUNDIT owner and editor Jim Hoft published an article on Sept 19, 2023, listing Berkey as #9 of the top 20 Common Functions of American Life the Government Wants to Regulate, Restrict or Outright Ban. Besides Berkey’s “carbon filters for clean drinking water” (Black Berkey Elements), other well-known essential items used every day appear to be a target for regulation, restriction or ban by the US government such as gas stoves, generators, and gas-powered cars (to be replaced by electric cars), as well as health supplements, the collection of rainwater, firearms, and our National borders!
Summing up the article, the author says;
“These are all things that, to one extent or another, in at least some states, are under attack by governments in partnership with big and powerful corporations. And more than half of them are under attack nationwide by the federal government and its corporate partners.
Looking at my list, did you notice a pattern? All of the 20 items have one thing in common — they allow us to live our lives independent of the government. Once the government claims a right to regulate, restrict or ban these items and actions, the powers that be — the oligarchs — know we will become totally dependent on the system for our survival. Food, water, energy, money, healthcare and the freedom of movement will all be 100 percent controlled.”

If an injunction is not granted and Berkey is not allowed to resume regular manufacturing and distribution operations, people around the world may no longer have the opportunity to experience the benefits of Berkey’s unique, economical and time-proven water filter systems that have improved lives for over 20 years by providing clean drinking water from freshwater sources.
Moreover, if the EPA can get away with these extreme actions in classifying Berkey as a pesticide and issuing orders that effectively stop the flow of Berkey® products…it begs the question: which other water filter company or other beneficial products are next on their list to interfere with? Something needs to be done to reign in the EPA’s abuse of power and hold them accountable.
So, in addition to sharing our posts, please take a moment to write or call your local representatives, congressmen and senators and ask for their help in reigning in the EPA specifically regarding their attack in classifying Berkey® water filters as pesticides, and lifting their stop-sale orders that are preventing the manufacture and distribution of Berkey® products.
