Why are my Black Berkey® Elements letting water through so fast?
It can be normal for the Black Berkey® Elements to have a fast flow rate. Anything from a trickle to even a steady stream of water is normal.
I filled up my Berkey® system last night. Why is there water all over my counter this morning?
This is probably an example of over-filling the system. If more water is poured in to the top chamber than what the bottom chamber can accommodate, water will flow between where the chambers meet (i.e. if the bottom is half-full, only fill the top halfway).
